Don't even think about getting Battlefield 2 unless you can run it VERY close to maxed out graphically. The gameplay as a whole isn't that great---unless it LOOKS great. I didn't want to touch the game until I bought my new video card because how the game looks is really a good part of the fun. It's filled with a lot of bullshit, a lot of "toobernoobers" who like to one shot you with their goddamn F2000's, and several bugs. They still haven't fixed the "Allied player showing up as an enemy" bug that's been there since the beginning of the game.
If I were you and was looking for a good FPS game I'd get some Half-Life 2 steam package or something, Day of Defeat: Source is a FUN game and I prefer it to Battlefield 2. F.E.A.R. and Quake IV are also more fun than BF2 in my opinion.

Echo, does it play somewhat like Battlefield Vietnam? With needing to download punkbuster and all that? I'm thinking of getting it after my paycheck this weekend.

True...Pie. This game taps out my system. Even says my X800XL PCIe card is not enough. Close...but still shy....that stunned me.

I actually never got around to getting Battlefield Vietnam - but it plays very smoothly - even the respawn aint that bad. At most it's about 10 seconds. You can now be revived, as well, so just 'cause you got shot full of holes, it doesn't mean you'll have to respawn.

That game is all about the big three. CPU, Ram, Video Card. I have a 3.4Ghz CPU, 4Gb Ram...and like I said a X800XL vid card. It runs great..however, I can't get the very highest graphics....close..but not quite. *sigh*

Ne neer ne neer neeee neeeer. SLI :3 75 to 80 frames with best rez and graphics.
Actually it's the big four: CPU, RAM, Video AND Hard Drive speed. If you have anything less than 7200 RPM, your loading times are gonna take forever.

Ah, the times are going to start getting a lot better in guild wars very soon. Just joined the remake of my original guild, People Who Pwn... It is now called "People Who Still Pwn." Same cape, many of the same members.
We even got boondock back. We like boondock.

Take a warm shower and just sit on the floor, letting the water bash the top of your skull. Trust me - this helps a LOT. The pain just kinda melts away, and will remain as such for a good hour.
Hope you feel better - everybody here has been getting sick, and I get the feeling I'm next.

Hmmm Echo I have never heard of that method... interesting ill have to try it. Anyway my cold is continually getting worse My throat is sore and dry. When I breath in I run out of saliva and a loud screeching noise comes out of me and scares my dogs and cat. I keep drinking water but it isnt working and I have been eating cough candys and using medicine. If I run out of breath in the middle of the night and dont wake up... well its been nice talking to you all :P

Only thing water is gonna do is amplify the mucus taste in your mouth. What you need is something carbonated and acidic - Dr Pepper does the trick, or regular Coke. Gargle it.
